Kids croc shoes have been around for several years now. In 2002 they took the world by storm, and now you can see them on little feet in every country. They are specially ergonomically designed (like they do with space rockets) so that they are almost weightless, which means your child is not constrained by heavy clumpy shoes when taking their early steps.

After a while, the croc will change it's shape to support the little foot wearing it, which makes each pair of kids croc shoes unique to its wee owner. But there are loads more reasons why my kids choose to wear croc shoes (and why I let them).

1. They come in an amazing array of bright child friendly funky colors, which means I can usually easily tempt mine into putting them on, and what's more keeping them on.
2. You can put little stickers on them, ones that you get your kids to make at home (mine just put little sticky glittery stars on theirs, a very inexpensive alternative to buying charms for them). This makes them more interesting and appealing to the child, and they are less likely to take them off and throw them at passers by, whilst in their push chair.
3. Use nail varnish with stencils (you can make the stencils yourself), to get them to design on them. Stars, circles and other shapes are the easiest. You can also use any spare (waterbased paint) you have around.
4. They are very light, so make easy packing when travelling. With the baggage weight limits that most airlines have these days, that's a real plus.
5. They are soft enough to wear in the house, keeping those little feet safe from bumping into furniture legs, stepping in the dog food bowl, (or worse) and cracking their toes off the side of doors.
6. But the best thing of all is that they can easily be cleaned. I put them in the washing machine, with a tad of disinfectant (you should see what my ones get their feet into). They wash well and dry overnight, or quicker during the day in the open air.

I could go on and on, but I'm sure you see now why I choose kids croc shoes.

Now, a word about buying them. Because of their weight, they are ideal for buying on line, as they usually come with either free, or very cheap delivery or shipping charges, and this is where you can get the best deals.

However, beware, there are some 'alternative' crocs around, which may be cheaper, but often a bargain is not really what it seems. These 'alternatives' are not made from the same lightweight resin, and are often just cheap plastics. The best way to tell is the price really. If the price seems to good to be true then rest assured it probably isn't the true croc. Don't you hate it when what your parents always told you turns out to be right after all?

They will not support the foot properly, and will probably start to smell during use. The real croc is almost indestructible, believe me, yes they have tried everything, I like to put it down to them being creative! So the authentic kids croc shoes will outperform in the long run.

Pierre Cardin is one of the most renowned fashion designers in the world. This Venice, Italy-born designer is most noted for his avant-garde and space age designs. Black tie was required and Jess and my mother showed up several minutes before the rest of their party was expected, Mother in a beautiful, understated black floor length velvet gown and Jess looking his usual elegant yet nonchalant self, in his black tie and dinner jacket, perfectly turned out right down to his sapphire studs.

My mother was one of those people who cannot bear to see a dangling thread. Her eyes continually home in on the little scrap of wafting cotton, and even if the wearer of the offending garment happened to be a stranger, she would be compelled to introduce herself so she could then inform them they had a dangling thread and would they like her to remove it for them?

On this particular evening, Mothers eagle eye spotted a thread, dangling from the pocket of Jesss trousers. The trousers were of the formal; tuck fronted variety, with a satin ribbon running down the length of the outside leg. Mother pulled sharply, and the entire trouser leg gathered, shooting up Jesss leg like a rat up a drainpipe. His skinny, white leg was left exposed, along with a saucy three inches of boxer shorts decorated with an alluring pattern of tiny Union Jacks.

The lobby of the Mandarin is a busy place, usually full of visiting tourists, business executives and local residents waiting around to rendezvous with friends for the evening. Tonight was no exception and the place was packed. The entire room began to laugh and the laughter rippled around the hotel like wildfire. People began to appear in doorways to try to catch a glimpse of Jess who made a funny sight with his one black leg and one white, chalky leg attired with a black sock and shiny patent dress shoe.

No matter what they did, the trouser leg could not be coaxed down. The day was saved by one of the visiting snooker players, who ran up to his room to fetch Jess a pair of his own dress trousers. Luckily, snooker players wear formal evening trousers rather often and spares are always packed.

The Mandarin Hotel will no doubt remember Jess with a smile.

These shoes look pretty but that's about all they have going for them. The leather in the heal of the shoe has the worst smell. They arrived and at first I just thought it was because they'd been in a hot truck since it was 100 degrees outside. But the smell never went away. The shoes aren't comfortable and they slip off my feet. I normally donate my clothes and shoes that I don't want but I wouldn't give these to my worst enemy; they're going in the garbage.

Wingtip shoes are virtually timeless as far as a men's dress shoe goes so take the time to choose a pair that will match your overall wardrobe that will still be in your budget and look good.

Kids croc shoes have been around for several years now. In 2002 they took the world by storm, and now you can see them on little feet in every country. They are specially ergonomically designed (like they do with space rockets) so that they are almost weightless, which means your child is not constrained by heavy clumpy shoes when taking their early steps.

After a while, the croc will change it's shape to support the little foot wearing it, which makes each pair of kids croc shoes unique to its wee owner. But there are loads more reasons why my kids choose to wear croc shoes (and why I let them).

1. They come in an amazing array of bright child friendly funky colors, which means I can usually easily tempt mine into putting them on, and what's more keeping them on.
2. You can put little stickers on them, ones that you get your kids to make at home (mine just put little sticky glittery stars on theirs, a very inexpensive alternative to buying charms for them). This makes them more interesting and appealing to the child, and they are less likely to take them off and throw them at passers by, whilst in their push chair.
3. Use nail varnish with stencils (you can make the stencils yourself), to get them to design on them. Stars, circles and other shapes are the easiest. You can also use any spare (waterbased paint) you have around.
4. They are very light, so make easy packing when travelling. With the baggage weight limits that most airlines have these days, that's a real plus.
5. They are soft enough to wear in the house, keeping those little feet safe from bumping into furniture legs, stepping in the dog food bowl, (or worse) and cracking their toes off the side of doors.
6. But the best thing of all is that they can easily be cleaned. I put them in the washing machine, with a tad of disinfectant (you should see what my ones get their feet into). They wash well and dry overnight, or quicker during the day in the open air.

I could go on and on, but I'm sure you see now why I choose kids croc shoes.

Now, a word about buying them. Because of their weight, they are ideal for buying on line, as they usually come with either free, or very cheap delivery or shipping charges, and this is where you can get the best deals.

However, beware, there are some 'alternative' crocs around, which may be cheaper, but often a bargain is not really what it seems. These 'alternatives' are not made from the same lightweight resin, and are often just cheap plastics. The best way to tell is the price really. If the price seems to good to be true then rest assured it probably isn't the true croc. Don't you hate it when what your parents always told you turns out to be right after all?

They will not support the foot properly, and will probably start to smell during use. The real croc is almost indestructible, believe me, yes they have tried everything, I like to put it down to them being creative! So the authentic kids croc shoes will outperform in the long run.
